Soft Sour Cream Sugar cookies (Perfect for Valentine's Day)

I love making these sugar cookies. Everytime I have made them for family, friends and neighbors, I get lots of compliments on them. This is not the ordinary sugar cookie, the sour cream gives them a very soft, slightly sour taste that is just perfect when you add the sugar and the cream cheese frosting.

Soft Sour Cream Sugar Cookies

1 1/4 c. sugar
1 c. butter softened
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sour cream
5-6 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda in 1/8 c. milk
1/4 tsp. lemon juice
2 eggs

**If dough is too wet or sticky, add more flour until you get a soft, easy to work with dough that is pliable.

Preheat oven to 350. Combine sugar, butter, and vanilla together. Mix with electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Add eggs and 1/8 c. milk with the 1 tsp. baking soda. Mix well.

In seperate bowl, combine flour and baking powder. Add to the sugar mixture. Mix well and then add the sour cream and lemon juice and again mix until creamy. Drop by rounded balls in greased baking pan, or role out dough for cookie cutters. Bake for 10-12 min.

Cream cheese frosting
1 package cream cheese softened
2 1/4 c. powdered sugar
1/4. c. milk

Mix cream cheese, sugar, and milk together withe electric mixer. Mix until thick and creamy. Add any food coloring of your choice.

Hamburger Rolls

Get ready to entice your tastebuds with these fabulous and extremely tasty stuffed rolls. My mom got introduced to these rolls in California in 1991 when she went on a temple trip. She made them several times growing up and has become an all time favorite dinner idea!

Hamburger Rolls

15-20 hard rolls (can be purchased at any grocery store)
1 pound lean hamburger
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 c. sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 tsp. onion powder

Preheat oven to 350. Cook and drain hamburger meat of grease. Set aside. In medium bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, onion, 3/4 c. of the cheese, and onion powder. Stir and add hamburger meat to mixture and mix well. On two baking sheets, cut a hole on the top of each roll and remove inside. Keep the top of each roll so you can replace it after each roll is stuffed. Make sure it's large enough to put hamburger mixture inside. Stuff each roll with mixture and then put a dollop of cheese (with the remaining 1/4 cup) on top before replacing with top of roll. Continue this process until all rolls have been stuffed. Wrap each roll in tin foil and bake for about 15-20 min. or until rolls are crisp and cheese is melted. Serve while warm.

Berrylicious Smoothie

This smoothie is extra nutritious because it contains an ingrediant called Spirulina. You can purchase this product at any health food store. It comes in powder or capsule form. I like the powder because it really doesn't have any flavor, but has so many energy boosting nutrients you would be amazed at how good you feel afterwards. Spirulina is a green powder, and many of you may get grossed out by how it looks, but trust me, it is worth what it does for you. Grown in Hawaii, it has become increasingly more popular. If you want to know more about spirulina, just google it and learn what healing powers it may have.

Berrylicious smoothie (created by me)

1 c. frozen blueberries
1 banana
1 1/2 c. cran-grape juice (that is what I used, be use whatever juice you like).
2 c. frozen fruit's medley (from Costco) contains peaches, strawberries, honeydew, and pineapple
1 c. yogurt of your choice (optional)
1 tsp. spirulina

Blend together in a blender and enjoy!!

Homemade Potato Chips

My husband made these and they turned out even better then the Lay's store bought potato chips. They are so easy to make and much more healthier. Simply, use a potato peeler to make the potatos thin. Once done, put each potato into heated olive oil. Let them fry until they are crip enough. Absorb oil onto paper towel and then lay on plate to cool. Sprinkle each chip with sea salt (for healthier version) or use any spice to make different flavors.

Red Chili Salmon

Salmon is so great if you get it fresh! I decided to be creative and make up a great sauce to marinade it with. It came out great!

Red Chili Salmon (For 2)

2 salmon fillets
2 T. Red Chili Sauce
2 T. Worchestershire sauce (I can never spell it)
1 tsp. parsley

Combine and spread over fillets. Marinade in fridge for a few hours over fillets. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Delicious!

Tasty!
