Grandma Visits

My mom came up for Labor Day and we had a really fun filled day. The four of us went to Marie Calender's for dinner (I won't go there again), and then we headed over to the Sweet Tooth Fairy where we each got a cupcake. (I got raspberry lemonade which along with strawberry shortcake is my favorite). Sunshine was the best baby. She sat up in the restaurant sling they provided for us at the table and she just sat and starred at us with a few smiles in between. Grandma Carol got a kick out of her smiles. Today, mom and I headed out for some lunch and shopping. Rodney was kind to babysit. First we went to Noodles and Co. and had some lunch. Afterwards we headed to the mall and Old Navy. Both stores were having Labor Day sales so mom and I got matching striped shirts and got Sunshine a little outfit to match. We decided that we would take family pictures with grandma later that afternoon. After Old Navy, we headed to the mall so I could show mom my favorite kids store called Gymboree. I love that store and its cute baby clothes. We headed home and I quickly washed all our new clothes so we could wear them for pictures. At about 6:30 we got to our favorite park and took a bunch of pictures. Afterwards we headed over to Cafe Rio but as usual they were way too busy, so we went next door to Five Guys and ordered burgers and fries. (I am not currently eating paleo diet due to my nursing. We next headed over to Sweet Tooth Fairy and got more cupcakes. This time I got the vanilla. We got home about 8:00 and by this time Sunshine was exhausted from all the stimuli she was exposed to. Overall, it was a nice couple of days and I am glad Sunshine got some grandma bonding time.

More 3 month Pics, Shopping Cheap, and Doing My Own Photos

I am very frugal. I hate spending money. I have gotten better over the years, but there was a time it caused me a lot of anxiety to spend money. I do what i can to save money. So taking my own pictures was a great idea. The lighting and angles don't compare to what a professional can do, but for now, these will do. I also discovered a store called Kid To Kid. Well, I wouldn't say I discovered it as I have known about this store for a long time. If you want to find cute, trendy clothes for your babies and kids, shop at this used clothing kids store. Everything is about five dollars or less. Kids outgrow clothes and shoes so fast, so why pay more when you can get nice stuff for less. I love this dress she is wearing that I just happened to find there. She will not be wearing it often, and serves as just a novelty dress, so why spend a lot on a cute little dress when they wear it once. I was so flattered that Sunshine allowed me to pose her. She must of known I really wanted to get some nice photos.

3 months old

Our little Sunshine is now three months old. She can fit into all the 3-6 month outfits she could not when she was a newborn. She has new milestones each day. The best is the smiles. We can't get enough of her smiles.

Gotta Love These Baby Carriers

My little girl loves to be walked around in a baby wrap or carrier. Recently we got a new baby bjorn. I am getting a wrap too in a few weeks and can't wait to see which one she likes better. Look at how she just falls asleep while I walk around. This carrier is perfect for trips to the store and other places. She loves being close to us and prefers this over her stroller.

4 ingrediant Chocolate Bars

I love chocolate, mainly dark, but a good Hershey's milk chocolate is great too. When I discovered this recipe, I was eager to try it. I added a pinch of vanilla to this recipe and kept wishing I had real vanilla extract for an even more authentic flavored chocolate. I could eat chocolate everyday, all day if I could. I'll admit I even ate the whole pan of this chocolate. I can't even imagine my life without chocolate. I think chocolate is one of the greatest joys in life. For this recipe you need: 1/4 c. Powdered hershey's chocolate, unsweetened. 1/4 c. Coconut oil 1 T. Agave or stevia Combine in pan and heat and stir. Once creamy, pour onto parchment paper in small casserole pan. Freeze for 1/2 to 1 hour. Cut into bars. If desired, sprinkle with sea salt.
